NARRATIVE SUMMARY 1-5 September 1969 - HMM-364 flew 785 sorties for 219.6 flight hours, lifted 98.6 tons of cargo, 1,019 troops/passengers, and expended 1,300 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Sixty-six Medevac missions carried 32 Emergency, 62 Priority and 80 Routine evacuees. Seven enemy fire incidents were reported with YK-13 and YK-19 each receiving one hit. 6-10 September 1969 - HMM-364 flew 856 sorties for 217.9 flight hours, lifted 93.3 tons of cargo, 1,154 troops/passengers, and expended negative ordnance. Eighty-nine Medevac missions carried 70 Emergency, 67 Priority, and 131 Rou- tine evacuees. One enemy fire incident was reported with no aircraft receiving hits. 11-15 September 1969 - HMM-364 flew 796 sorties for 257.3 flight hours, lifted 45.1 tons of cargo, 1,270 troops/passengers, and expended 1,000 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Sixty-six Medevac missions carried 51 Emergency, 76 Priority and 47 Routine evacuees. Eleven enemy fire incidents were reported with YK-6 receiving 4 hits. 16-20 September 1969 - HMM-364 flew 811 sorties for 237.3 flight hours, lifted 36.1 tons of cargo, 1,047 troops/passengers, and expended 1,750 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. One hundred four Medevac missions carried 72 Emergency, 79 Priority and 114 Routine evacuees. Six enemy fire incidents were reported with YK-9 and YK-18 each receiving one hit. 21-25 September 1969 - HMM-364 flew 764 sorties for 255.4 flight hours, lifted 44.4 tons of cargo, 1,163 troops/passengers, and expended 1,050 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Ninety-nine Medevac missions carried 50 Emergency, 180 Priority and 275 Routine evacuees. Fifteen enemy fire incidents were reported with YK-3 receiving one hit. 26-30 September 1969 - HMM-364 flew 598 sorties for 178.3 hours, lifted 9.7 tons of cargo, 914 troops/passengers, and expended 100 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance. Sixty-three Medevac missions carried 38 Emergency, 58 Priority and 99 Routine evacuees. Five enemy fire incidents were reported with YK-4 re- ceiving one hit. To recap, HMM-364 flew 4,610 sorties for 1,365.8 flight hours, lifting 327.2 tons of cargo, 6,567 troops/passengers, 468 Medevac missions which carried 313 Emergency, 522 Priority and 746 Routine evacuees. All the above were flown in support of the following Operations and Units: Pipestone Canyon, Victory Dra- gon, III MAF, 1st MarDiv, MAG-16 and HMM-364. |

Intelligence
The Squadron Intelligence Section received and recorded intelligence informa- tion on a daily basis for adjacent and higher headquarters through pilot debriefs, spot reports and intelligence documents. During this period there were 45 enemy fire incidents directed against squadron aircraft resulting in 7 aircraft being hit. A narrative summary of section activities is as follows: attended briefings at higher headquarters, conducting liaison with adjacent units, briefing and debriefing pilots, and routing of messages and documents of intelligence value to appropriate sections and personnel.
